St Julian Volksmarch GPS Points

6 Sept, 2003, I did a really nice Volksmarch in St Julian.

Location

21KM SE of Idar-Oberstein. In the Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany
The start is at the Kinderstatag. They had a treasure hunt for the children.

Length

They have a 6, 10 and 20 km.
I did the 10 km trail. It started with about 500 foot hill climb and then was level. At the 1/2 way point, you go up another 500 feet.

Trail Quality

The route was nice with it going through both forests and farm fields. There was almost no city walking. The trails were mostly paved, with some portioned being packed gravel. You could definitely take a stroller.
